Jodi Bier is the Chief Editor/Copywriter of Premier Editor.  After years of traveling, teaching and writing, she decided to share her expertise and passion for writing with others; to help them produce writing they can be proud of.

Jodi first discovered her passion for writing while living in Mexico, where she volunteered at an orphanage.  Growing up, her creative outlet was through music but without a piano at her fingertips in the Baja desert, she transferred her energy to writing.  After being offered a permanent position working at the orphanage, Jodi felt she needed more skills to offer the people.  So she turned down the position to return to home and get a formal education.

She graduated from Trinity Western University, in Langley B.C. with a degree in Communications/Professional Writing, Applied Linguistics and a Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) Certificate.

Upon graduating, Jodi returned to Mexico for a short visit before heading to Japan, where she spent a year teaching English at a public school and to the community. 

Since returning to the U.S.A., Jodi continued to pursue her love for language and writing, working at a public school as the Writing Coach. She has also worked as a Technical Writer for private organizations, published articles in newspapers and magazines, and copy-edited books. In 2006, she started Premier Editor.

Jodi’s diverse writing background and experiences enable her to help a broad spectrum of clientele. Her goal is to provide affordable outsource editing and copywriting services, so businesses and individuals don’t have to hire a full-time writer.  

Jodi spends her spare time with her family and pursuing her hobbies: photography, pottery and running.
